Vocational Achievement (QCF)

This is the new course which has replaced the old A1\2 and D32\33 assessor qualification.

This qualification is ideal for candidates who would like to be fully qualified to assess learners in the work environment and in classrooms, training centres and workshops etc.

This course will enable you to assess vocational competencies in a wide range of qualifications such as:

Course Structure

This Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement course covers the following 3 units:

Unit 1 – Understanding the principles and practice of assessment (3 credits)

This is the theory part of the course which will equip you with all the knowledge and understanding you need to become a good assessor. Assessment is by you demonstrating knowledge via question and answers.

The GLH (Guided Learning Hours) for this course is 84 hours)

Unit 2 – Assessing competence in the work
environment (6 credits)

In this unit of the course you will learn how to practically assess learners within a work environment following approved standards and criteria and using valid methods of assessment. Unit 2 will be assessed through you practically assessing learners in a work environment and producing a portfolio of evidence.

Unit 3 – Assessing vocationally related
achievement (6 credits)

This unit is very similar in structure to unit 2 but  you will learn how to practically assess learners within a classroom environment following approved standards and criteria and using valid methods of assessment. Unit 3 will be assessed through you practically assessing learners in a classroom environment and producing a portfolio of evidence.
