Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (QCF)

Successful achievement of this qualification is by providing a portfolio of evidence which will prove that you have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to enable you to assess within vocational education and training using a range of assessment methods.

This is similar in content and structure to the certificate but qualifies you to assess only in places other than work environments.

This course is comprised of 2 units.

Unit 1 – Understanding the principles and practice of assessment (3 credits)

This is the theory part of the course which will equip you with all the knowledge and understanding you need to become a good assessor. Assessment is by you demonstrating knowledge via question and answers.

Unit 3 – Assessing vocationally related achievement (6 credits)

You will learn how to practically assess learners within a classroom environment following approved standards and criteria and using valid methods of assessment. Unit 3 will be assessed through you practically assessing learners in a classroom environment and producing a portfolio of evidence.

The GLH (Guided Learning Hours for this course is 54 hours)
